We add no harmful chemicals or pesticides, and patiently wait for fruits and vegetables to ripen on the plant before harvesting them-in many cases, by hand. In this way, we ensure that their natural beauty, flavor, and nutrients are at their peak and our customers can reap the full benefits.

 

Our growers live close to the land, and avoid genetically engineered seeds and plants. Our suppliers are truly Old World farmers who cultivate heirloom varieties passed down through the generations. Many of our products actually grow in the wild-in forests and fields, and on mountainsides. Plants such as these have adapted well to their environment over the years, and are strong and resistant naturally.

 

We work closely with small family farms and local pickers, helping them to establish themselves economically while maintaining their traditions. Farm & Forest helps these growers by providing financial incentives for them to continue with their tried-and-true methods and customs of farming, without having to compromise their standards in order to make a living.
